The 'Under The Sun' singer is said to have become "close" with the US star in recent months.
Cheryl Cole has reportedly sent Katy Perry a special One Direction themed present to celebrate her upcoming birthday.
The 'Call My Name' singer is said to have become "close" with 'Wide Awake' star Katy after they met on a chat show earlier this year, and wanted to give Katy a present to represent her love of the 'What Makes You Beautiful' five-piece.
"Cheryl and Katy have become close since they appeared on The Graham Norton Show," a source told The Sun this week. "Cheryl's been busy with her tour, so she wanted to make sure she sent a present well in advance and let Katy know she was thinking of her."
'Part Of Me' singer Katy has been an avid supporter of One Direction over the past year, presenting them with an award at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this summer and tweeting band member Niall Horan on several occasions, which is believed to be the reason behind Cheryl's cheeky present.
"She knows what a big fan Katy is of the boys and how she has a major crush on all five of them so she knew Katy would love the dolls," the source added.

It is believed 'Under The Sun' singer Cheryl also set Katy a golden cat charm to go on her charm bracelet.
Cheryl is currently taking her 'A Million Lights' tour across the UK while Katy Perry has been performing at several charity events over the past two weeks.
