Sheridan Released From Prison

Convicted former Socialist party leader Tommy Sheridan has been released from prison today.

The ex-MSP was found guilty of lying under oath during his successful libel claim against the news of the world in 2006.

He's served just over a year of a 3 year sentence before leaving Castle Huntly open prison this morning.

He has been banned from speaking in public for the next 6 months as part of his release terms.
