The Black Eyed Peas star says he has the ability to trace the vehicle after it went missing this week.
Will.i.am has said he is hopeful he will see the return of his "stolen" car.
The Black Eyed Peas star revealed that his car had gone missing in a message on Twitter yesterday morning (14th August).
After initially seeming frustrated, Will.i.am saw the funny side of fans who began tweeting him pictures of other peoples' cars and claiming they were his.
He has now started the hashtag #wheresmycar and denied claims that it has been found.
He wrote: "There going to find the people responsible for this...#wheresmycar...#trackingdevice."
In another message, Will.i.am said he did not want to approach the police in case his car had been taken as part of a joke.
He said: "I'm not going to the police...spread the word via tweets in case I'm getting punk'd. I don't want to waste tax dollars on pranks #wheresmycar."
Will.i.am's car is a prototype model put together by West Coast Customs using parts from a DeLorean and a Dodge Challenger.
