Will.i.am Runs Olympic Torch Relay In Taunton

The 'Great Times' star poses with the flame before heading off to perform his section in Somerset today.

Will.i.am has just completed his stint running the Olympic torch relay in Taunton, Somerset this evening (21st May).

The 'This Is Love' star took to his Twitter account shortly before heading out for his section of the route to pose with the Olympic flame and called the experience a "once in a lifetime" moment.

"1nce in a life time experience #runningthetorch in the uK...," he tweeted before adding: "Its my turn for the #runningthetorch #willpowerUK."

The relay takes place over 70 days covering 8000 miles with a host of celebrity torchbearers taking part in the event and Will praised the energtic crowds who came out to see him on his run.

"Its nuts here in taurton...so much excitement...," he wrote.

Meanwhile, the Black Eyed Peas man is currently starring on The Voice UK alongside Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue and Will is rumoured to be writing a new song for an upcoming NASA Mars mission.
