The 'Check It Out' star believes it would be the perfect way to get back at Simon Cowell.
Will.i.am has confessed that he is hoping Cheryl Cole will perform her new song on The Voice in order to annoy X Factor music mogul Simon Cowell.
The Black Eyed Peas man, who is a judge on the new BBC show, admitted that it would be the perfect way to respond to her dismissal on the X Factor USA last year.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, he said: "I want her on the Voice. I mean why not? That would really p*** the big man off wouldn't it?"
The '3 Words' star also revealed that he has high hopes for his artist and promised fans will be impressed from her latest music.
"This is her year by the way - Cheryl is back! You all gonna love her new music - it’s on it, on the money," he said.
A source also revealed to the newspaper that Simon wasn't happy with Will.i.am's decision for Cheryl to avoid contact with her old employer.
They said: "He wouldn't let Cheryl call Simon and the production team. Simon and all the producers were gutted."
Meanwhile, Will.i.am recently admitted to Capital FM that it was the Girls Aloud singer who influenced his decision on joining the new talent show judging panel.
Both acts also took to their Twitter accounts earlier today (6th February) to offer their praise to Madonna following her Super Bowl half time show performance.
The Voice is scheduled to air in the UK sometime in March.
