The 'This Is Love' rapper says he will push for a collaboration between the two female pop stars.

Will.i.am says he is keen for Cheryl Cole to collaborate with new The X Factor USA judge Britney Spears sometime in the near future.

The 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' rapper helps to manage and guide Cheryl's career as part of her management team, and says he would love to get the two artists together when he next works with 'I Wanna Go' star Britney.

"Britney would be great with Cheryl," will.i.am revealed to The Sun this week. "When I'm recording with Britney, I've four songs of Cheryl sitting there."

Cheryl launched her new album 'A Million Lights' earlier this month after scoring a number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with lead single 'Call My Name'.

While Britney is currently serving as the newest judge on The X Factor USA alongside Demi Lovato, sitting with returning judges Simon Cowell and LA Reid, Cheryl also served as a panelist for the show's launch last year before leaving the series.

The 'Great Times' rapper previously produced and featured on the track 'Big Fat Bass' from Britney's 2011 album 'Femme Fatale', and The Voice UK judge has previously confirmed he recorded a collaboration with her for his own new album '#willpower'.

Cheryl Cole is currently filming the music video for her next single 'Under The Sun' and was pictured on the same set as former ITV police drama The Bill earlier this week (25th June).

Will.i.am was also celebrating this week after his latest single 'This Is Love' shot straight to number one on Sunday (24th June) on the Vodafone Big Top 40 following its weekend release.
