David Bowie was a new entry at number 11 with his surprise single 'We Are We Now'.

Will.i.am and Britney Spears retained their lead on the Vodafone Big Top 40 this weekend for a second time.

The 'This Is Love' rapper's team-up with Britney on 'Scream & Shout' is now enjoying its second week at number one, after holding off competition from Taylor Swift's latest release 'I Knew You Were Trouble'.

US star Taylor climbed one place to number two on this week's chart while former Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'Impossible' moves to number three.

Veteran singer David Bowie, who surprised the music world with the sudden release of 'Where Are We Now?' - his first new song in nearly a decade – was a new entry at number 11.

At one point last week, the 'Changes' singer had been at number one on the iTunes chart, but his challenge eventually faded.

Meanwhile, Rihanna was a non-mover at number four with her Mikky Ekko featuring hit 'Stay', while Pitbull rounds out the top five songs on the chart with 'Don't Stop The Party'.

50 Cent scored the highest new entry on the Big Top 40 this weekend with his new single 'My Life', featuring both Eminem and Maroon 5's Adam Levine, making it to number seven.

The Vodafone Big Top 40 airs every Sunday with Rich and Kat from 4pm.
