Usher wins top award in France

Usher's heading for the UK leg of his tour with a top award in his pocket.

The OMG star won International Male Artist of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes.

Shakira won two top prizes - International Female Artist of the Year, and International Song of the Year trophy for 'Waka Waka'.

Other stars in Cannes for the ceremony (the 12th time they've been held) included Black Eyed Peas stars Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap - the group won International Group of the Year and Concert of the Year.

Music video of the year went Lady Gaga and Beyonce for 'Telephone'.
