Union J's JJ Hamblett Becomes A Dad As Girlfriend Gives Birth To A "Healthy Little Boy"

The 'Carry You' star confirms he is now a father and reveals the baby's names as Princeton J. Alexander.

Union J star JJ Hamblett has tweeted fans to let them know he is now a dad after the birth of his son with girlfriend Caterina.

The 'Beautiful Life' star confirmed back in September that the pair were expecting their first child together, and announced on Twitter this morning that a "health little boy" was born this morning (28th November).

"It's official at 9.30am today I became a Daddy," JJ tweeted today. "The healthy little boy has arrived at a weight of albs!!!!! sooo happy right now."

JJ later posted a message hinting at the baby's name alongside a picture of him holding up his son, writing: "PRINCETON J. ALEXANDER".

The boy band star was quickly congratulated by his Union J bandmates who tweeted messages of support to their fellow member.

"Congratulations JJ and Cat! New little one in the family now so proud of you both! I'm not the youngest member anymore!! Haha Love You!" George Shelley tweeted, while Jaymi Hensley posteD: "@JJUJWorld is a Dad whoooop uncle Jaymi xxx."

The 'Carry You' star has also received a message of congratulations from One Direction's Niall Horan, who posted:  "@JJUJWorld congrats JJ mate!"

Union J are set to perform live at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2013 on Saturday 7th December, while they recently confirmed 'Loving You Is Easy' as their next single.
