Labrinth Joins Plan B And Other Stars Of The Sweeney At UK Premiere

The 'Earthquake' rapper joined the likes of Hayley Atwell and Ray Winstone on the red carpet in London.

Labrinth was among the musical stars who attended the premiere of The Sweeney in London last night (3rd September).

The film version of the famous TV show stars the rapper's friend Plan B – real name Ben Drew – Ray Winstone and Hayley Atwell.

Labrinth looked typically dapper on the red carpet, rocking a tweed jacket, red plaid shirt and an upturned pork pie hat.

The rapper, who has worked with the likes of Tinie Tempah, is currently preparing to embark on a UK tour.

Starting next month, the 'Last Time' star will head around the country for a nine-date outing, which culminates in Newcastle on 28th October.

Labrinth recently told Capital FM that he was among the producers lined up to collaborate with Rihanna on her forthcoming new album.

"I'm supposed to be working with her soon hopefully so I've spoke to her managers," Labrinth said. "Yeah It'll be good.

"I think she's currently working on some stuff so everybody's in there at the moment and she's working in certain studios so it seems like it's very exciting," the 'Express Yourself' singer-songwriter explained.

"She's not in my studio [yet] but hopefully I'll have some hot ones on her album."

The Sweeney marks Plan B's latest film role and follows his recent directorial debut Ill Manors, which was accompanied by an album of the same name.

The film goes on general release at cinemas around the UK later this month.
