The 'Let The Sun Shine' rapper the mixture of musical genres he uses will get "more extreme" with time.

Labrinth has claimed his musical style will continue to evolve with each solo album he records.

The 'Earthquake' rapper is preparing to launch his debut album 'Electronic Earth' next month, and promised he will "stretch the barriers" with every new song he creates.

"For my own album I wanted to create something that was equally urban, pop and weird," Labrinth told The Metro of his upcoming record. "I think that mix will get more extreme as I go along, it's like slowly peeling this onion and revealing more layers.

"My fans aren't going to get the same record every time and I think that's healthy," he explained. "I don't want to stay "relevant", I just want to stretch the barriers a bit."

Last night (19th February) Labrinth joined Ed Sheeran on stage at the Shepherd's Bush Empire for a joint performance of his singles 'Earthquake' and 'Let The Sun Shine'.

Labrinth is expected to premiere the music video for his new single 'Last Time' this week ahead of the release of his debut album 'Electronic Earth' on 19th March.
