Our favourite California girl steps out in front of a worldwide audience of over MILLIONS to deliver a HUGE portion of infectious pop candy, complete with special appearances from Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott.
Now that's how you do it in style! Katy Perry's long-awaited performance at the Super Bowl XLIX last night did not disappoint. The chart-topping star took centre stage at University of Phoenix Stadium during halftime of the match between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
Katy arrived on stage riding a MASSIVE robotic gold tiger, turning up the heat sporting a flame-adorned dress with an impressive rendition of Vodafone Big Top 40 No.1 'Roar'.
It was a set practically bursting with hit after hit as the 30-year-old dusted of anthems such as 'Dark Horse', 'Teenage Dream' and 'California Gurls'.
It was debut hit 'I Kissed A Girl' which saw the arrival of US star Lenny Kravitz on stage, as the pair performed a special version of the track, and the surprise guests didn't stop there! Perry blinded up her show-stopping set with a special appearance from US rapper Missy Elliot getting down to Missy's hit 'Get Your Freak On'.
Earlier in the day the 'Prism' star had showed her excited ahead of the performance in a number of posts on her official Twitter page.
Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling. pic.twitter.com/9jMh3hWubz
