Katy Perry "Dumped" By John Mayer Via Email?

The 'Part Of Me' singer was rumoured to have enjoyed a short romance with the ex of Jennifer Aniston.

Katy Perry and John Mayer's rumoured recent relationship was apparently brought to an end via an email message, it has been reported.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer was pictured out with the 'Who Says' singer earlier this month fueling reports that the couple were dating.

It emerged last week that the pair had decided to part ways with sources claiming they would remain friends after simply "having fun" together.

Us magazine now claims that John was "tired" of the female's "hard partying" and brought the romance to an abrupt close.

"He dumped her over email," a friend of the singer told the publication. "She was furious and really hurt."

They added: "She was into him, but he wasn't feeling it."

John has been linked with several famous stars over the years including Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift.

Since announcing her divorce from comedian Russell Brand – Katy has also reportedly dated the likes of Florence & The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd and also been linked to Twilight actor Robert Pattinson.
