Katy Perry Says She Had A "Crush" On John Mayer Way Before They Started Dating

The 'Teenage Dream' singer says the pair "fit together great" while discussing their relationship.

Katy Perry has opened up about her romance with John Mayer and admits she has had a "crush" on him since way before they got together.

The 'Roar' singer, who launched new album 'Prism' worldwide this week, says she had fancied the 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' singer even before they became a couple.

"I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great," Katy revealed to W Magazine, when asked about the pair's relationship.

The 'California Gurls' singer also opened up on her short-lived marriage to Russell Brand, that saw them divorce at the end of 2011.

"It was a new, fun, exciting journey," she explained. "But I like how I  am now and I think all things happen for a reason.
