The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer will reportedly spend time away from the limelight as early as next month.
Katy Perry is apparently set to take a break from music and the media next month as she admitted she needs to let her heart "heal" following her split from comedian Russell Brand.
The 'Firework' singer is preparing to make her big screen debut in the upcoming 3D concert movie Part Of Me and has nothing planned in her diary following the promotion of the film according to the Daily Mirror.
"I Need To Let My Heart Heal," she reportedly told the publication.
The Daily Record quoted the American as stating: "It's going to be all right for people not to see me for a minute."
She continued: "I have to recharge my batteries and hopefully I'll come back with an abundance of things to say and great songs."
The star split from husband Russell Brand at the end of 2011 following a 14 month marriage and revealed she is not making any future plans just yet.

"I'm going to get bored and I'm going to stay bored," she confessed. "I'm going to enjoy the world on my own terms, do some reading, catch up on films. No plans allowed."
Katy recently confessed that her break-up has not put her off the idea of marriage saying she "regrets nothing" and has learned lessons along the way.
