The 'Love Me Again' star also began teasing what fans can expect from his upcoming debut album, and explained that every song from the record has been painstakingly worked on to perfection.
"As a songwriter I never continue with a song that's not right, I'm too much of a perfectionist," he told Daily Star over the weekend. "I start again and stay there till it's finished.
"I'd like to start afresh and write a second album when the the comes as I wouldn't want to bring songs along," he added. " There's a ballad called 'Out Of My Head' on my album which feels really great. I'm excited but it all and hopefully everyone else will be."
John Newman returns with new single 'Cheating' on 7th October and his first studio album on 14th October.
