The 'Price Tag' singer says it breaks her heart watching passionate contestants performing on the new talent show.

Jessie J says she is in unique position to identify with contestants on The Voice UK because of how new she is to the music industry.

The 'Domino' singer, who scored huge success with her debut album 'Who You Are' in 2011, has said she knows how the hopefuls feel because of her own rise to fame in the past twelve months.

"It's a very interesting vibe and I just found myself forgetting I was on TV," Jessie told The Sun. "But I could understand what the contestants were going through, stepping on stage and wanting to get people's attention. It broke my heart.

"It's a weird situation because I'm still in that situation as a recording artist right now," the 'Nobody's Perfect' singer explained. "I could put out my second album and no one could buy it."

She added: "I desperately want people to buy it so I know how that feels."

Last week Jessie confirmed that 'LaserLight' featuring David Guetta will be her next single in the UK, taken from the platinum edition of 'Who You Are'.

Jessie J features on The Voice UK, alongside fellow vocal coaches will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Danny O'Donoghue, which airs every Saturday on BBC One.
