The star says she's left behind her "cartoony" style to adopt a more feminine look.

Jessie J has revealed that she chose to adopt a new look because she wanted to be regarded as "a bit more feminine".

The 'Domino' star shows off her new image in the November issue of Elle magazine, which sees her appear on the cover for the first time.

Jessie has been experimenting with her hair and clothes in recent months, and has now admitted that she wants to leave her "cartoony" image behind.

"That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago," she said. "Now, I'm definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine.

"I've always wanted to look like this, but it didn't grab people's attention. And in the beginning you've always got to do something that's going to make people go, 'Who's that?'"

Jessie also discussed her sexuality in the interview, which has been the subject of much speculation during her career.

She said: "It's one of those things where they labelled me. Sexuality shouldn't define anyone. It doesn't define me. Love should be at the core of what you do. I'm only interested in finding love now."

The 'Price Tag' singer also admitted that she was looking forward to getting married in the future.

"I definitely want to get married and have kids and it's just about making sure that the person who I meet and that I do that with is right for me."
