Jessie J Is Bringing Girl Power "To A New Generation", Spice Girls' Melanie C Says

The 'Wannabe' star admits she's a big fan of the 'LaserLight' singer at launch of new campaign.

Jessie J is taking girl power to "a new generation", according to former Spice Girls singer Melanie C.

The 'Wannabe' star, who helped launched Music Is GREAT with Jessie earlier this week, said she was a massive fan of the 'Price Tag' singer.

In an interview with the Huffington Post, Mel described Jessie as "one of the best - if not the best - vocalists that this country has ever produced".

She continued: "She's got great attitude, I think that she's a great role model for young girls.

"I think we're lacking that in the celebrity culture that we seem to have at the moment. I think she's taken girl power on to a new generation.

"She has a voice to die for, she's great live, and I can't fault the girl."

Jessie launched Music Is GREAT with a performance at HMV in London on Monday (14th).

The singer played several of her hits, including 'LaserLight', acoustically at the event on Oxford Street.
