The 'Otis' rapper claims he never wrote poem which talks about stopping the use of 'b' word.

Jay-Z has hit back at reports which claim he wrote a poem suggesting he would stop the use of the word b***h in his songs.

The poem emerged online earlier in the week and was attributed to the '99 Problems' star.

One verse of the poem read: "Before I got in the game, made a change and got rich, I didn't think hard about using the word b***h. I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it. Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it."

However, the rapper told New York Daily News that this wasn't true insisting the poem was not his.

"That poem and story are fake," he said.

Meanwhile, the star is set to join his wife Beyonce at the reopening of his 40/40 New York club tonight.
