The rapper's dedication to his daughter Blue Ivy gets an outing at New York benefit last night.
Jay-Z performed his new song 'Glory' for the first time last night (6th January) during a benefit concert in New York,
The 'Otis' rapper was performing the first of two shows at Carnegie Hall in aid of the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.
Dressed in a smart tuxedo and dark sunglasses the rapper was backed by a full orchestra for the show.
MTV reports that the star claimed he found the rendition emotional and thought he might not make even make it through.
"I didn't think I was gonna make it through that one, that was tough," he said.
The star was also joined by Alicia Keys on their collaborative track 'Empire State Of Mind' as well as fellow rapper Nas for a rendition of 'NY State Of Mind'.
Meanwhile, his wife Beyonce was pictured for the first time since the birth of their first child as she stepped out in New York to celebrate Jay's gig showing off her post pregnancy body.
