The rapper seemingly reveals the couple previously had a miscarriage before the birth of their first child last week.
Jay-Z's tribute song to newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter appears to suggest his wife Beyonce previously suffered a miscarriage.
The 'Otis' rapper posted 'Glory' earlier today (9th January) in which he raps about the "amazing feeling" of becoming a father for the first time.
During the second half of the song, reportedly produced by Pharrell Williams, Jay-Z refers to a 'tragic' miscarriage that happened in the past.
"Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you'd disappear but no baby, you magic," Jay-Z raps during the track.
The '99 Problems' rapper's song 'Glory' also features baby noises from his daughter and is credited as featuring Blue Ivy herself, referred to by the initials B.I.C.
Beyonce was widely reported to have given birth to the couple's daughter on Saturday (7th January), following several days of rumours regarding the child's arrival.
