The 'Under The Sun' singer stops by Max's show tonight and has revealed why her mentor isn't on the new single.

Cheryl Cole has opened up to Capital's Max about why she and will.i.am didn't work together on her new single 'Crazy Stupid Love'.

The 'Call My Name' star's new song got its first play on Capital this morning, and Cheryl says she wanted to "step alone" for this new album.

"Will's been doing his own thing," Cheryl tells Max on tonight's (2nd June) show. "I went and did a guest appearance for him on his tour.

"But it's different, it's like my fourth album," she explained. "I wanted to step alone.

"And I would still ask him his advice, play him tracks and stuff," Cheryl added. "But it just feels like I want to be my own person this time."

Cheryl Cole will release 'Crazy Stupid Love' on 20th July.
