The 'Under The Sun' singer is said to have agreed a deal to return to the show after her exit back in 2011.
Cheryl Cole has reportedly agreed to a deal to rejoin The X Factor UK this year.
The 'Call My Name' singer is alleged to have been convinced to make a return to the show alongside fellow former judge Simon Cowell, who is also expected to retake his seat on the judging panel.
According to fresh reports, Cheryl was Simon's "main priority" for the revamped 2014 judging line-up and is believed to have signed a £2 million deal.
"All this talk of Nicole's deal is premature," a source close to the show told the Daily Star. "The only judge in talks is Cheryl.
"Talks have been going on for weeks and Simon has been doing everything to persuade her," they continued. "Finally she has agreed.
"Simon believed Cheryl's return was the key to his new ideas for the show," the source added.
An officially spokesperson for The X Factor UK says it is too early to comment on rumours about this year's judging line-up.
