The boys talk exclusively to Capital about penning the soundtrack to the new Steve Carell comedy.
The Vamps are VERY excited for this weekend… after recording their soundtrack song for newly launching movie Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
The 'Last Night' four-piece wrote the song 'Hurricane' for the new comedy movie, which stars Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner, and launched a music video for the track last month.
The Vamps on recording 'Hurricane' for the new movie...
The Vamps have now opened up exclusively to Capital about how working with Disney on the track came about… and their music video crossover with the film's stars!
"We got emailed by Disney asking if we'd be interested in writing a song for a movie, but we didn't know what it was about at the time," The Vamps exclusively told Capital's showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes. "They sent through an idea of this movie and we wrote the song. And luckily they liked it and made the movie and it's awesome.
"It's out with 'Cecilia' which is the new song. We decided to put them in a bundle, it's a double a-side," they explained. "Our music video uses samples from the movie but we had Bella Thorne, who's an actress in the movie, she was my pretend girlfriend! So it was a crossover!"
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day launches in UK cinemas from today (24th October).
