The Script frontman has been told to rest by doctors after picking up a bug during taping for the new series.
The Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue has been forced to pull out of filming for the new series of The Voice after falling ill.
The 'Six Degrees Of Separation' singer is around half way through shooting the latest series of the show and his current absence will mean the rest of the panel will have to film promos on their own.
The 'Hall Of Fame' singer is due to head out on the road with his bandmates for a new tour – which could also now be in jeopardy.
"The coaches have all been working really hard on the new series in order to make it better than last year," a source told The Sun. "Danny also has commitments with his band but it has obviously all got too much and he has been struck down by a nasty bug."
The insider continued: "Doctors have advised him to rest and he doesn’t know when he’ll be able to return to filming yet."
Fellow coach on the series Jessie J has also been taking to Twitter this week to build anticipation for the next edition of the show.
Alongside a blurry picture of the set, she posted on Twitter: "The voice UK season 2 coming soon *movie man voice*."
Sir Tom Jones and Will.i.am will also be back for the return of the show, which is due to hit screens next month.
