The 'What About Us' singer speaks to Capital FM about getting her new glamorous hair extensions.

The Saturdays star Frankie Sandford says she decided to drop her trademark short hairstyle because it was "time for a change".

The 'All Fired Up' singer, who is expected her first child with fiance Wayne Bridge, says she had had her style for "so long" and felt the time was right to try something new.

The girl band star was speaking to Capital FM at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards 2013, fresh from unveiling her new longer hairstyle earlier this week.

"I just really fancied a change," Frankie told Capital FM at the awards show this week. "I'd had that hair for so long, I was growing it out and I was like, 'Screw it, I'm just going to go with it'.

"So I kind of embraced it. I was really nervous tonight but you know?" Frankie added.

Band member Rochelle Wiseman was not at this year's Glamour Awards, after she and Capital FM presenter Marvin Humes welcomed their first child last month.

The Saturdays went on to win Best Band at the Glamour Awards 2013 last night.
