The 'Read All About It' rapper says the DJ from the metal band is a big fan and they're discussing a possible collaboration.
Professor Green has confessed that he could be set to work with Slipknot.
The 'Never Be A Right Time' rapper told The Sun that he met Sid Wilson from the masked band during his Australian tour with Jessie J and couldn't believe it when the DJ told him he was a fan.
He revealed: "Collaborations come up naturally. I don't try to force anything. We met Sid Wilson, the DJ from Slipknot, out here. He told me he was a big fan. How mental is that? So we were talking and he's going to send some stuff over."
The star was quick to point out that duets don't always produce a perfect outcome because the artists need to "work it out first".
He said: "Collaborations are like a relationship. You can meet someone you're attracted to, end up in bed but you might not be compatible. Putting two artists in a studio doesn't mean it will work. You have to work it out first."
Pro Green finished his support tour with Jessie J earlier this week and is set to make a return with his touring partner at next month's Teenage Cancer Trust show at the Royal Albert Hall.
