The 'All About Tonight' singer says she is still looking to break into acting as well as continuing her music career.

Pixie Lott has expressed regret about missing out on the opportunity to portray Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe on screen.

The ‘What Do You Take Me For?’ singer says she is hoping to take on some more acting work in the future, following her big screen in Fred: The Movie last year.

“I’m still interested in acting,” Pixie told the Daily Star. “But I want to do something different to what I am so it’s more of a challenge.

“If I had to play anyone it would be Marilyn Monroe, but they just did a movie on her.”

Pixie added: “Damn. She’s an icon.”

Simon Cutis’ new film My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams in the titular role, is due for release in the UK on 25th November.

Pixie Lott has been confirmed to play the first day of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball on 3rd December with Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Olly Murs and The Wanted.
