Ke$ha wants world domination
Ke$ha performed at the 02 Shepherds Bush on Tuesday night (December 14).
The "TikTok" star performed all her hits as well as new material from her forthcoming Animal:Cannibal, wearing a black cape and trademark glitter.
Ke$ha ends 2010 with the Billboard Magazine award for Best new Artist, in America, which is the same award Lady GaGa won a year ago. Her new single “We R who we R” also made its debut at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and could repeat that success on the Big Top 40 in January.
Speaking exclusively to Capital backstage, she also revealed to us that she’s got her eye on a duet with Dizzee Rascal. She told us “I have a wish list of people to work with right now and I’ve kinda been spying on Dizzee Rascal. I saw him at the EMAs in Madrid and he caught my attention a bit.” Although we wonder of Dizzee needs to grow a beard as Ke$ha is famous for her love of facial hair on her men. “He could grow one, that’s okay. I don’t discriminate when it comes to beards.”
The star also revealed that she’s planning to spend Christmas in the jungle with the family.” It’s a secret jungle and I just want to run around and do jungle stuff. And no, the scary creatures don’t scare me. Come on, my first album was called Animal, after all.”
As for 2011, what does Ke$ha want to achieve next year? “I don’t have a new year’s resolution, as I have like a lifetime resolution not to turn into a douchebag, so it’s like a recycled resolution every year. And next year I’m taking my Sleazy World tour everywhere, so it really all is about world domination next year.”
And what about Ke$ha’s highlights for 2010? “There are a few and playing Wembley with Capital was up there as that was an amazing opportunity for me and an amazing day. And winning my Best new Artist award at the MTV EMAs was one of the greatest days of my life. I actually cried after winning that award. I really did."
Ke$ha also told us about the new music on her forthcoming album and her thoughts on the Rihanna/Christina X Factor performance controversy.
