Katy Perry Plays Superhero With Cat Sidekicks In New PopChips Advert - Video

The 'Teenage Dream' singer plays a crisp-obsessed superhero alongside a troupe of cats.

Katy Perry features in a comedic new advertisement for Pop Chips in which she plays a superhero backed up by a number of cat sidekicks.

The aptly titled Katy And The PopCats was uploaded this week and sees Katy dressed up in a purple latex superhero get-up as she and her feline friends battle a villain called Fat Cat.

The video also sees the 'Wide Awake' singer rapping along to her own theme tune, as she sings: ""We got nine lives, going up against fries, we're Katy and the Popcats rolling in our ride."

Earlier this week the US star was romantically linked to Twilight actor Robert Pattinson after the two were pictured attending a Bjork concert together in California.

Katy Perry is currently working on her third studio album.
