The UK comedian has been joking about his 14 month marriage to the US pop singer.
Russell Brand has described his marriage to pop star Katy Perry as "a drag" while joking about their relationship this week.
The British comedian suggested his marriage to the 'Wide Awake' singer was "shaky" as soon as they rode elephants into their wedding in India two years ago.
"That marriage was shaky from the get-go, before I'd even got off the elephant!" Russell told us this week. "It was a drag, man.
"Let me tell you a think about marriage," the comedian explained. "Marriage is a bond that can last up to 14 months. It is a sacred 14-month arrangement.
"Begins on an elephant, ends in a newspaper," Russell joked.

'Teenage Dream' singer Katy and Russell divorced in 2012 after splitting following a 14-month marriage, with some of their break-up charted in Katy's 3D concert movie Part Of Me.
Since splitting from Russell, Katy has embarked on a romance with 'Your Body Is A Wonderland' singer John Mayer, although recent reports suggest the couple have recently broken up.
Katy Perry is currently writing and recording for her third studio album out in Los Angeles.
