The likes of The Wanted, Taylor Swift and Rihanna also picked up gongs at this year's awards show.
Katy Perry was the big winner at this year's People's Choice Awards as the 'Teenage Dream' singer picked up four awards in total.
The 'Part Of Me' singer was named Favourite Female Artist and Favourite Pop Artist at last night's (9th January) awards show in Los Angeles, as well as picking up both Favourite Music Fan Following and Favourite Video for 'Part Of Me'.
The likes of The Wanted, Taylor Swift and One Direction also won at the People's Choice Awards, which was punctuated by performances from Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Jason Aldean.
"[It's] a very nice way to start off the new year," Katy said while picking up her awards, before admitting that the Favourite Music Fan Following award means the most to her.
"I think if I had to pick one of the awards, [this] would be my favourite one because my fans support me so much," the 'Wide Awake' singer explained. "I am very glad that they've given me the time to grow as an artist, and I look forward to entertaining you again.
"So back to the studio I go!" Katy added.
The Wanted were named Favourite Breakout Artist by the fans that voted for this year's awards show, dedicating a short performance of 'Afternoon Delight' to chatshow host Ellen DeGeneres while accepting their gong.
Taylor Swift picked up Favourite Country Artist, Maroon 5 were declared the year's Favourite Band for the second year running and One Direction won both Favourite Album for their debut 'Up All Night' and Favourite Song for 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
Rihanna walked away with Favourite R&B Artist, Nicki Minaj was named Favourite Hip-Hop Artist and Jason Mraz won Favourite Male Artist.
The Voice US judge Christina Aguilera was given a special People's Voice award, and gave an emotional acceptance speech to her fans.
