Katy Perry To Perform New Song 'Wide Awake' At Billboard Music Awards 2012

The 'Part Of Me' singer is the latest name to be added to the impressive line-up for the Las Vegas event this month.

Katy Perry has been confirmed to perform at the Billboard Music Awards 2012 where she will debut a brand new track 'Wide Awake', it has been announced.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer has penned the track for her upcoming 3D concert movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me and will take to the stage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas to premiere the song.

Already confirmed for the show are Justin Bieber, The Wanted, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly Furtado, Linkin Park, LMFAO, Cee Lo Green , Carrie Underwood and latest addition Chris Brown.

The American star is up for a host of awards on the night as well including Top Artist where she will do battle with the likes of Adele, Rihanna and Lady Gaga.

Katy recently announced that she will be taking a long vacation after she has released her latest single and will be heading to Wembley Stadium next month to perform at Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012.
