The pair are snapped in Los Angeles for the first time since reports of a relationship between them surfaced.
Katy Perry and John Mayer have been pictured together for the first time since reports surfaced that the pair were dating.
The 'Teenage Dream' star and the singer were spotted in a car after visiting the exclusive Los Angeles hotel Chateau Marmont last night (1st August).
Katy, who was wearing a gorgeous white lace dress, and John looked startled to have been photographed as they got into the vehicle. Katy sat in the passenger seat while John was behind the wheel.
Rumours that a romance had sparked between the pair first surfaced last month after it was reported they had been writing music together.
It was then claimed that Katy and John had been spotted by fellow guests at another trendy LA nightspot, Soho House.

John Mayer is not the first man to be linked to Katy Perry since her split from Russell Brand in December.
The singer, whose divorce was officially granted last month, also briefly dated Florence & The Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd.
The pair were spotted together in public on several occasions, including at the Coachella Festival in Los Angeles and at venues in London when Katy visited the UK to perform at Capital FM's Summertime Ball in June.
In an new interview with Elle magazine, Katy revealed that she would consider a second marriage.
