Katy Perry To Receive Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer has been named among the latest stars receiving the honour in 2014.

Katy Perry will receive a star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 2014, it has been announced.

The 'Hot N Cold' singer will be honoured alongside the likes of Orlando Bloom, Liam Neeson and Matthew McConaughey.

There is also set to be a posthumous star awarded to rapper Tupac Shakur.

"We have a great mix of celebrities and industry executives who have made Hollywood what it is today – one of the greatest entertainment destinations in the world," said David Green, chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee.

He continued: "The new selections will bring great joy and fond memories for those millions who visit Hollywood each year!" 

The news comes shortly after Jennifer Lopez became the 2500^th recipient of a Hollywood Walk of Fame star last week.

Meanwhile, Katy is currently busy working on her new studio album and the follow up to 'Teenage Dream'.
