Katy Perry's Grandma Takes Over Las Vegas Cinema With Her Friends

The 'Firework' star's relative and 65 others enjoyed a screening of the singer's new movie.

Katy Perry's grandmother took over a cinema in Las Vegas this week to watch the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer's new 3D movie.

The 'Firework' star took to her Twitter account to reveal her excitement at the news telling her fans that 65 others joined her grandma for the special screening.

"Was just informed that Grandma took over a whole theater in Vegas with 65 of her friends in lolita #KP3D glasses. Picture coming soon #gogranny," she tweeted yesterday (11th July).

The American star has now posted a shot of her grandma and friends sporting the 3D glasses in front of a poster of the singer.

"GRANDMA FOR THE WIN. Gma stylin' out w/her buds at my movie last night! #scenestealer ‪#KP3D," she added alongside the snap.

Katy spoke to Capital about how much she admires her grandma earlier this month revealing that her success is not "acknowledged" by her family member.

The star was also escorted to the Billboard Music Awards 2012 and her Hollywood premiere of the movie by her grandma.
