Katy Perry fans get special blankets

For any Katy Perry fan, the chance to see her perform a free concert in a New York outdoor plaza would be an opportunity too good to pass up on.

Loads of her fans clearly had the same idea however, and queues for the event started forming days ago, with the main event not happening until today, Friday.

Not happy with seeing her loyal fans suffer overnight, Katy had special Teenage Dream blankets and pillows made, and arranged for them to be handed out to everyone in the queue, to keep them warm during their long wait.

She made an announcement to them all via her twitter.

Katy is currently touring America promoting her latest alum, Teenage Dream, which is released worldwide on August 30th.
