The 'Price Tag' star was forced to abandon her show due to illness meaning a change of venue that pleased the sports club.
Jessie J's cancelled performance at last month's Ponty's Big Weekend 2012 has reportedly saved a local Welsh cricket team's season, according to one of the players.
Pontypridd Cricket Club in Rhondda Cynon Taf had feared that their home pitch would be destroyed by the show, following the weeks of bad weather and the amount of people expected at the show.
However, a last minute change of venue was welcomed by the side, which saved an extra 10,000 spectators visiting their ground.
"As a team, we were very, very lucky," confessed Gareth Owen. "We and RCT were fortunate that the weather changed to dry and sunny in the week building up to the concert, and we were even luckier that Jessie J cancelled her concert on the Friday afternoon saving us the 10,000 festival-goers due that evening."
The Saturday and Sunday shows remained in the same venue – causing some damage – which has since been repaired.
"Luckily, the ground stood up pretty well to the Saturday and Sunday crowds on what was now a much drier surface," he added. "There was pretty significant damage caused by the vehicles over the weekend, but the council have appeared to spend a heck of a lot of time and money repairing the damage."
Jessie returned to performing a few days later at the Ibiza and Mallorca Live shows after being given the all-clear from doctors.
Meanwhile, the 'Domino' star is rumoured to have left her position on The Voice UK with fellow coach Danny O'Donoghue recently expressing his disappointment that Jessie wouldn't be back for a second series.
