The 'Dance Again' singer has reportedly decided to call an end to her time on the music reality series.
Jennifer Lopez is apparently set to leave American Idol when the current series of the show finishes this month.
The 'I'm Into You' star has taken to her judges seat on the show for two consecutive series alongside Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, and it is believed a heavy upcoming schedule is the reason for her departure.
"There is just too much going on for her right now," a source told US magazine. "She regrets she can't stay on the show. It's been an incredible experience and she is forever grateful that she did it."
The star recently opened up on her feelings of Britney Spears taking her position on the judging panel of The X Factor USA and admitted she was "scared" for the 'Crimnal' singer as she recalled her own feelings when she first started on her own TV series.
The final of the show will be held on 23rd May and also feature performances by Rihanna and Jason Derulo.
Meanwhile, J-Lo has topped Forbes' new top 100 celebrity list which looks at the most powerful stars in the world.
The 'On The Floor' star beat the likes of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna to the crown.
