The '99 Problems' rapper flew in especially last week for the visit after hearing about the facilities on offer at the venue.
Jay-Z apparently surprised staff at Koolworld studios in Luton when he dropped by for an impromptu session at the location.
The 'Watch The Throne' star arrived at the venue after hearing of the facilities and it was the only local spot with the equipment he needed, according to The Sun.
Manager of the studios Linda Farrell told the publication that a staff member thought someone was having a joke at first.
"A member of staff got a phone call from one of his people on Friday afternoon and she thought it was someone having a laugh," she admitted. "She only realised when they mentioned his label Def Jam records.
"Apparently this was the only studio in the area that was accessible and had all the equipment he needed."
The '03 Bonnie And Clyde' star even got a "really good" recording of a new song.
