The 'Fine China' singer's trip to New York was hit with delays after plane trouble at take-off.

Chris Brown's trip to the MET Gala Ball 2013 in New York City this week reportedly took an unexpected turn for the worst when the plane he was in started smoking from the cockpit.

According to TMZ, the 'Turn Up The Music' singer was on board a private Gulfstream 3 jet flying from California's Burbank Airport to New York City on Monday (6th May), when the plane's cockpit filled with smoke just minutes into the flight.

The plane was then forced to turn around for an emergency landing, while the R&B star didn't seem too worried about the incident as he was spotted catching a second flight within the next hour.

Chris then finally arrived in New York City on Monday evening to attend an after party for the Met Ball event, where he was pictured accompanied by a mystery brunette.
