The Girls Aloud star was caught in airport drama during promotion for new album 'A Million Lights' in Germany.
Cheryl Cole has revealed that she was "so scared" when her private jet was caught up in a storm.
The 'Call My Name' star was promoting her new album 'A Million Lights' in Germany when the plane was unable to take off because of bad weather.
Cheryl said: "We were stuck in the plane and just sitting on the runway and a bright massive flash of light hit outside the aircraft. I said to my friend, 'That's lightning' - then it just didn't stop.
"I was so scared that I thought, 'This is it. I've got an album to promote and I've got so much yet to 'do!'"
Cheryl also revealed to The Sun that airport authorities prevented the plane from returning to the terminal building to wait until the storm past.
Cheryl has been busy promoting her new album 'A Million Lights' across Europe in recent weeks:
"When we finally took off about an hour later I was terrified we'd be hit by lightning in the air," she said.
"But I remembered I'd climbed Kilimanjaro, so took a bit of strength from that."
'A Million Lights' is Cheryl's third solo album and features the single 'Call My Name' and forthcoming track 'Under The Sun'.
