The Girls Aloud star says she was in "the worst relationship of my life" as she opens up on the tracks' lyrics.

Cheryl Cole has confessed that her new song 'Craziest Things' is based on a former relationship she had as a teenager.

The '3 Words' star told We Love Pop magazine that it was "the worst relationship" of her life and that the songs' lyrics, which is a collaboration with manager Will.i.am, detail all of the trauma she endured during that time.

"I was in the worst relationship of my life," she admitted. "We swore, we fought, we did everything it says in that song."

The star also revealed that she ended the relationship after showing concern for her health.

"People think it's passionate and fun, but it's aggressive and wrong. I was depressed and poorly. I had to end it for my health," she added.

Media reports had suggested that the song, and similar titled tracks were based on her marriage to Ashley Cole – something which she has denied on numerous occasions.
