X Factor judge and solo singer Cheryl Cole has allegedly asked BRIT Awards event producers for a seat away from Alexandra Burke and Olly Murs at the awards ceremony on February 15th.
The Daily Star newspaper claims that Cheryl wants to be recognised for her solo career outside of her X Factor judging work.
"Cheryl doesn't mean to be picky but she's asked not to be seated at the same table as Alexandra Burke or Olly Murs. She wants to walk down the red carpet by herself and be pictured by herself as a solo musician," a source told the daily newspaper.
The source added: "She loves Alexandra and is very proud of Olly but would prefer not to be grouped with the X Factor crew so she can be set apart and treated as a performer. The public are so fascinated and obsessed with her love life and personal issues they forget how hard she works on her albums."
The 'Promise This' star has been nominated for two BRIT awards: 'British Female Solo Artist' and 'Best British Single'; a category which will pit her hit single 'Parachute' against Olly Murs' 'Please Don't Let Me Go' and Alexandra Burke's 'All Night Long'.
