The 'Call Me Maybe' star flew to Los Angeles and spent time in the studio with the 'Boyfriend' singer.
Carly Rae Jepsen has admitted that she felt "a little nervous" meeting Justin Bieber for the first time.
The 'Call Me Maybe' star is signed to Justin and his manager Scooter Braun's record label School Boy.
Speaking to Capitalfm.com, Carly said she still had vivid memories of the first time that she met both Justin and Scooter.
"That entire weekend was probably unlike any other weekend I've experienced in my life," she said.
"I flew to LA, I met Scooter Braun and the whole team at Interscope, and then I went to the studio and met Justin.
"I was a little nervous, but he was so calm and laid back and within no time we were just talking music and it was comfortable."
'Call Me Maybe' topped the Vodafone Big Top 40 when it was released earlier this year. Carly is scheduled to support Justin Bieber on his forthcoming North America 'Believe' tour.
