Sesame Street's Cookie Monster Covers Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' – Video

The colourful children's character is the latest name to perform a rendition of the Canadian star's hit single.

Sesame Street's Cookie Monster has released a cover version of Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call My Maybe'.

The blue character, famous for his love of all things biscuit based, has reworked the track into a version called 'Share It Maybe'.

"You cookie showing and me hungry growing. Let's get skimmed milk flowing. We'll start this snack going baby," he sings, before delivering the chorus: "Hey, me just met you and this is crazy. But you got cookie, so share it maybe."

The footage features a man photocopying images of cookies and the blue monster singing towards a cookie crescent shaped moon.

Other famous versions of the track which have been released include the Miami Dolphins cheerleading team, Katy Perry and Barack Obama.

Carly spoke to Capital last month about the hit single and the many parodies which have surfaced online.

She admitted her favourite one is by Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez as it was the one which started it all off.
