ASOS is selling 'tuna' tights and everyone is roasting them

ASOS' new 'mermaid' tights are literally off the scale.

Ever wanted to fulfil your childhood dream of being the Little Mermaid? Well, this one's for you. ASOS have come through with a pair of sheer tights with silver scales coming down the leg. Live out all your fishy fantasies in these metallic babies, which claim to be "for that low-key party attitude."

The tights – that retail for £10 – were shared on the ASBOS_SOS' Instagram page, which is dedicated to finding the online retailer's kookiest items. But no-one seemed to get the mermaid memo on this one.

To be fair, the tights are in ASOS' Halloween costumes section. But did that stop the hating on them? Absolutely not.

The post was captioned: "When you stop shaving your legs and discover you are actually a tuna," and everyone found it hilarious. "Serving fish," one commented. "Ridiculous," another wrote. And a third confessed: "I own these tights and I WAS really excited about them."

Honestly, the tuna look is not the one. Fashion lovers on Twitter weren't much kinder either, sharing some of their most controversial buys from the brand. Can someone stop ASOS please?
