The ITV1 show panelist says she refuses to let her girl band to suffer at the hands of bullies on the internet.
Tulisa Contostavlos has vowed to defend her last remaining group on The X Factor from cyber bullies.
The reality show panellist says she has become a "mother hen" to girl band Little Mix and refuses allow them to be criticised on the internet over their looks or weight.
"I want them to feel they've got a little family," Tulisa told the Radio Times. "They say I'm like a mother hen.
"Even Dappy and Fazer used to call me the mother hen."
Tulisa says she can identify with how the Little Mix girls feel because she herself experienced similar problems growing up.
"Although I can be very feisty, that's a defence mechanism for me," she explained. "I'm defensive because too many years of my life I was treated like s**t."
The N-Dubz singer has already begun recording material for her debut solo album, which is expected to debut sometime in 2012.
N-Dubz released their first greatest hits collection earlier this week (28th December).
