The 'Live It Up' singer also says she has no regrets about anything that has happened in her life.
Tulisa Contostavlos has opened up about the pressure of having a relationship in the media spotlight, as well as saying she feels that she is "living beyond" her years.
The 'Young' singer has been linked to a string of men over the past year including Skins star Jack O'Connell and Shameless actor Jody Latham, following her split from N-Dubz bandmate Fazer, but says it can be "suffocating" trying to make a relationship work in the public eye.
"It can be suffocating. They don't let you have a personal life because they make assumptions about it from the second they find out anything about it," Tulisa told The Metro on her recent romances. "It's like they are living a made-up story or their version of your personal life before you actually get ti love it.
"It's a lot of pressure [but] fortunately, and unfortunately at the same time, I don't really have dates," the 'Live It Up' singer explained. "If I get into something with someone I've got to be pretty clear from the start that this is serious, otherwise it's just not worth it."

Tulisa, who says she is "happy at the moment" with footballer Danny Simpson, also discussed her public image and insists she doesn't regret anything that has happened to her.
"I don't feel 24, I feel 35! I've been living beyond my years," Tulisa explained. "This has been my life and I am proud of it, even if I'm not like anyone else.
"I wouldn't take back or regret anything that's happened to me - not even the worst thing - because I believe everything happens for a reason," she added. "I have to learn and come out the other side a better person."
Tulisa Contostavlos' launched her debut solo album 'The Female Boss' this week.
